What are the different types of wig caps?

No one wig style is the same. This is why we at Destiny and Beyond put a personal touch on every product. Just as no wig is the same, neither are wig caps. There are 4 different wig cap types:

Monofilament Wig, 100% Hand-Tied, Lace-Front Cap, and Basic Cap. Each wig cap is constructed based on the type and style of hair.

Wig Types

100% Hand-TiedMonofilamentLace FrontBasic Cap
Offers natural movement, so that each hair moves freely

Each hair piece is hand-tied onto the base of the entire cap

It’s soft and the most comfortable   Ideal for those with very sensitive scalps and hair loss   Other names: 100% hand-knotted
Offers the illusion of a natural front hairline   Individual hairs are hand-tied to sections of sheer base

Can be found just at the crown with a part or across the full top

A full mono top allows for styling versatility

A double mono has an extra layer of soft material for added comfort
Creates a natural looking front hairline
Individual hairs are hand-tied to sections of sheer base

Allows for styling away from the face
Can include both traditional and capless styles

Majority or all of this cap has open wefting. This is typically done for better air ventilation

Can give hair a natural lift with volume   Pre-teased wig hair at the root. This helps mask the appearance of the cap
